1- EVERYONE- Please go back thru all your old posts and delete photos or entire posts that are no longer important for permanent preservation.
Especially Buy-Sell-Trade listings.

2- When I have some time I will figure out how to bump up the storage limit for images, and hope it does not necessitate getting a larger hosting package. Cost may or may not be relevant at this point.

LEXINGTON & CONCORD

I just go home last night from a 34 day 5,500 mile trip which included the Baltimore show, a major collector group meeting, 4 or 5 visits of various length with family/friends, several museum visits (including a pilgrimage to Springfield Armory) and FIVE other gun shows and an ammunition collector show. Also, a visit to Lexington and Concord to honor the opening or the American Revolution 250 years ago.
You can read a bit more Lexington and Concord visit (including a British spy amongst us) at:

Great fun, but I am beat and have a ton of stuff to catch up on now.

Thanks to Don for keeping the lights on and spam trashed while I was having fun.

Thanks John! With reference to Lexington & Concord, my Facebook post from 19 April :

As has become my custom on this date, April 19th, I post in remembrance of my cousin Abner Hosmer (19) who was one of the two patriots KIA at the Old North Bridge in Concord in 1775. His name is engraved on the obelisk there, and his powder horn is part of the current exhibit at the Concord Museum.
This year is special, as it marks the 250th anniversary of that event, which was nothing less than the birth of our nation. Over the last year, I have learned that Abner was a drummer, beating time for the march at the head of the group, alongside their captain, Isaac Davis, who, coincidentally, was the other American fatality… Several other cousins also fought in the Revolutionary War but were more fortunate and escaped with their lives. Lest we forget…

Dick- I saw the horn and the name while I was at the Museum, and wondered if you were related!

Great lineage you have there! We are free today because of men like them.

Here are links to a photo of Abner Hosmer's powder horn and their records on it:

John, I cannot thank you enough for the information about the powder horn. AFAIK, ALL Hosmers in the US are related. Two brothers came over early - Thomas was one of the founders of Hartford CT (1632) and James - my ancestor - settled in Concord MA in 1635. I have Mayflower roots as well, as does my wife - in fact we are shirt-tail cousins. They were all undocumented immigrants - hope Tom Homan is not a trapdoor collector...

I just went back through my posts and deleted about 40 photos to try to help create some bandwidth space for the board.
