From the few I've seen , which is not many, have had all the correct features of an M68.
The one I'm looking at is correct but struggling with the price😩
The trapdoor group on Facebook is the only thing I miss since leaving, you should try and get some of those members to join here Dick???

So I got time this morning and picked up the M68 Trapdoor from my buddy . It was a dirty mess outside. I spent 5 hours cleaning it up. Unsanded stock , mirror bore. Shoots on target has the musket type sight. Now I need a cleaning rod and a triggerguard with sling loop. It cleaned up real nice , polished up , oiled , and I did soak internal wood mortices with BLO as it was typically very dry.

The base IS very similar to the CW style. I do not believe that I have a sight - but will check.
This afternoon I did a search on ebay and found a complete 1868 rear sight assy w/slide screw & spring - $140 delivered. Crazy luck there. Cant wait until I get it. I looked at the one on the 68 I just got and it looks like it had a leaf that was sheared off at it's base. So all I need now is a triggerguard bow w/sling loop and a cleaning rod !.

Do not have a rod, but can provide you with a guard bow and swivel assembly if you wish. Do you need the two little nuts?

I can use the nuts off the one I have dick. Would you want my slingloopless bow ....hate to pitch it. Any interest in the old sight base with spanner screw , base and the basic notch sight on it.
